Haywood (5-10, 280, San Diego State, DOB: June 7, 1978 in Los Angeles, Calif.) is a five-year CFL
veteran. He joined the Montreal Alouettes as a free agent in 2006 and
registered four quarterback sacks and nine defensive tackles in 11 games with
the Als last season.
Haywood broke into the CFL
in 2002 as a member of the now-defunct Ottawa Renegades, appearing in 11 games
that season and collecting six quarterback sacks, 21 defensive tackles and two
tackles for losses. He played in 53 games and registered 11 QB sacks, 125
defensive tackles and five tackles for losses during the next three seasons
with the Renegades.
Haywood was a three-time
all-star with San Diego State University and was a team captain his final two
seasons at San Diego.
