Hall Staying Put
Saskatchewan Roughriders

Posted Jan 3, 2007

Saskatchewan Roughrider Head Coach Kent Austin announced that Richie Hall will remain as the Riders defensive coordinator after signing a two-year contract extension.

Hall is entering his 14th season as a coach with the Riders and his seventh season as defensive coordinator. Last season Hall’s defence was in the top three of numerous defensive categories including leading the league in fewest net yards rushing and fewest average yards rushing per game.

“I am very pleased to retain Richie Hall as our defensive coordinator”, stated Austin. “He is not just an outstanding coach but also a tremendous person.  The continuity and experience that he brings to the club are invaluable.  Richie is very committed to this community and is determined to help make this organization one of the best in the CFL.”

“I am very excited about the opportunity to remain in Saskatchewan and work with a friend and former teammate,” stated Hall. “I enjoy living and working in this community and I know that this group assembled here can bring a Grey Cup championship back to the province.”
