Offensive Player
of the Week RB – Ron McLendon – Edmonton Eskimos Edmonton Eskimos 30 @ Montreal Alouettes 20 Highlights / Key Stats: In his 2006 debut, running back Ron McLendon was impressive. McLendon collected 198 rushing yards
and a pair of touchdowns on 25 carries. The sophomore from the University of
Mississippi added four receptions for 27 yards, for a total of 225 combined
yards. Hononrable Mention RB –Charles Roberts– Winnipeg Blue Bombers Defensive Player of
the Week DB – Mark Washington – B.C. Lions Hamilton Tiger-Cats 17 @ B.C. Lions 23 Highlights / Key Stats: Mark Washington returned an interception 40 yards for a major and
blocked a punt that led to a BC field goal as the Lions defeated the Hamilton
Tiger-Cats 24-17. Washington also had three tackles and a pass knockdown. * Unanimous Selection Lineman of the
Week DL – Brandon Guillory – Edmonton Eskimos Edmonton Eskimos 30 @ Montreal Alouettes 20 Highlights / Key Stats: For the second straight
week, Brandon Guillory started on Edmonton’s defensive line and continued
to have an impact. This past weekend, Guillory recorded two sacks for 19 yards
and knocked down a pass. In two games this season,
Guillory has three sacks. Honorable Mention DL –Terrell Jurineack– Saskatchewan Roughriders Special Teams
Player of the Week KR – Dominique Dorsey – Saskatchewan Roughriders Saskatchewan Roughriders 13 @ Toronto Argonauts 9 Highlights / Key
Stats: Toronto’s strong
defence provided many opportunities for Dominique Dorsey to return kicks, and he took advantage. Dorsey
returned eight punts for 104 yards (13 avg.), including a 44-yarder that setup
