The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today
the Rogers CFL Players of the Week #14 as selected by members of the Canadian
football broadcasters. Offensive Player of the Week RB – Joffrey Reynolds –
Calgary Stampeders Winnipeg Blue Bombers 9
@ Calgary Stampeders 43 Highlights / Key Stats: Joffrey Reynolds earned the Rogers CFL Offensive
Player of the Week honours for his dominant performance against the Winnipeg
Blue Bombers this past weekend. Reynolds finished the game with 21 carries for
162 yards and three receptions for 55 yards, leading the Stampeders to a 43-9
victory. Reynolds leads the CFL in rushing with 1,433 yards
this season. Honourable Mention SB –Geroy Simon– B.C. Lions Defensive Player of the Week LB – Otis Floyd – B.C. Lions Montreal Alouettes 20 @
B.C. Lions 36 Highlights / Key Stats: Otis Floyd led a BC Lions defence that registered 12
sacks against the Montreal Alouettes, the second highest single game total in
CFL history (13 - Toronto Argonauts, 1993). Floyd had three tackles, a pair of
sacks, one forced fumble and a pass knockdown. Honourable Mention DB –Tay Cody– Hamilton Tiger-Cats Lineman of the Week DL – Robert Brown –
Edmonton Eskimos Edmonton Eskimos 22 @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats 27 Highlights / Key Stats: Robert Brown is the second
Eskimos lineman to be honoured in as many weeks. Brown, in a losing effort had
a pair of tackles and three sacks, giving him nine sacks on the season, the
third most in the CFL. Honourable Mention DL –Aaron Hunt– B.C. Lions Special Teams Player of the Week KR – DaVon Fowlkes –
Hamilton Tiger-Cats Edmonton Eskimos 22 @
Hamilton Tiger-Cats 27 Highlights / Key Stats: In just his second game in the CFL, Davon Fowlkes
became the second player this season to return a punt for a major. In the first
quarter of Hamilton’s game against Edmonton, Fowlkes returned a Sean Fleming
punt 86 yards for a touchdown, electrifying the crowd and igniting the
